Steven N. Fox is the founder of FOXPATENT. Mr. Fox is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney with more than 24 years of legal experience in the field of intellectual property law, including: procurement of U.S. utility and design patents; procurement of foreign patents; registration of U.S. and foreign trademarks; registration of U.S. copyrights, state of the art patent searches; clearance patent searches; invalidity patent searches, design-around patent investigations; licensing and technology transfer; cancellation and opposition proceedings before the USPTO; and litigation in federal courts of patent, trademark, and copyright matters. Mr. Fox has worked in the technical areas of software products, internet based products, electrical devices, electro-mechanical devices, mechanical devices, and consumer products. Mr. Fox has prepared and prosecuted more than 500 patents and trademarks. Mr. Fox has litigated a significant amount of patent, trademark, and copyright cases resulting in judgements and/or settlement agreements favorable to his clients.
In 1984, Mr. Fox received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In 1990, Mr. Fox received a Juris Doctorate degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center and interned with the late Honorable Jean Galloway Bissell at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C. Prior to law school, Mr. Fox worked as a design engineer for the Fairchild Space Company. After law school, Mr. Fox worked for the Washington, D.C. law firm of Sterne, Kessler Goldstein & Fox, LLP in its electrical group where he drafted complex software applications for IBM.
